Her 15 years of Wedding Planning experience and her diversified background have made her an innovative and influential expert to the bridal industry. She is referred by some of the top hotels and wedding vendors in and around San Diego County.
   
  Perfect WeddingGeneene's diverse background which led her to the wedding planning industry in 1991, started many years ago when she was employed as the House Mgr. of the San Diego Civic Light Opera Association, better known as "Starlight Musicals". Her love of the theatre, stage and lighting has played a valuable and intricate role in the creation and designing of beautiful weddings. Every position Geneene has held, from the time she was in high school to now, has contributed to her successful career as San Diego's premiere Wedding Planner. Her father, the entrepreneur of the family, always guided Geneene to be a leader and to follow her heart.
   
  Perfect WeddingGeneene spent 14 years working at Hewlett Packard, San Diego, 10 years of which was spent on, or in charge of, the companies Recreation Committee. She was instrumental in planning company picnics and Christmas parties for up-to 3000 employees and guests, as well as interviewing and hiring top party vendors for numerous other company events. While working at HP, Geneene like her father the entrepreneur was always searching for outlets to satisfy her energy and creativity. While on medical leave, Geneene discovered a talent she didn't know she had, a flair for floral design. This talent led Geneene to her first business. Now, along with her love for photography, music, theatre, stage and lighting, her talents and passions contribute to her successful wedding planning business. Geneene Thornton, the owner and founder of Celebrations EVENT Planning and Waterfront Weddings is an active member of several local/national hospitality industry associations including:
