Hi Geneene!

I just phoned a woman about a referral for you and I realized I have not yet sung your praises in the form of a letter yet, which in my opinion is very necessary. So this letter is not necessarily to you but instead to any potential persons considering utilizing your services for their wedding.

Therefore...

To Whom It May Concern:

When I have a daughter or son hopefully some day they will find as beautiful person to share their lives as I have, and when they call me to tell me that they are going to be married the first thing I will say to them is, "Wonderful, Let's get a coordinator". If Geneene is still coordinating at that time, I would definitely hire her.

I have been involved with many weddings and having had Geneene's for my wedding I could honestly say that I do not consider her a luxury, but instead a necessity. And because I consider a coordinator a necessity, that fact itself implies that my experience with Geneene was a great one.

Above and Beyond the Call Of Duty:

I signed a contract with Celebrations Event Planning, which required certain services of them, and did not require others. Regardless of this, Geneene went to meetings with me that she did not have to attend, and in attending these meetings she made recommendations that saved me money.

Recommendations:

I loved all of the venders Geneene recommended, and if I didn't love them she found somebody I would love. All were extremely amazing and professional. Geneene is the type of coordinator who makes recommendations, however, also listens to your wants and needs. She does not force her ideas on you, and to me this was extremely important. She did recommend something I had no intention of getting. The videographer. At the end of the wedding day my husband and I concurred that the one thing we looked forward to the most was the video. We are so glad she made this recommendation.

The Week Before the Wedding:

At my place of employment I have 3 weeks of vacation per year. I was married in January and did not want to use all my time off in the first month of the year. I only took 2 days off before my wedding day, and on those days all I had to do was pamper myself. I have several coworkers who were also recently married and did not hire coordinators. They ended up taking much more time off prior to their weddings. I got to utilize that time toward my honeymoon!

In addition, these coworkers would comment to me on how amazingly calm I was during this week prior to my wedding. They would mention that they were beyond stressed the week before their weddings and were amazed at how calm I was. One even had to leave work from a stress-induced migraine, and he wasn't even the bride! (Side note: I am the biggest stress case I know so the fact that they made this comment should say a lot.)

Geneene was the reason why I was so calm the week before my wedding. I really did not have much to do at all. I just handed everything over to her, and knew it was being handled.

My Wedding Day:

Oh My Lord Geneene was amazing and professional! Just an example of some of the things Geneene did for me that day for which, as a result, I would have paid her twice the amount she charged me. By the way, these things may seem trivial, but believe me, on your wedding day, they are not!

1) Taking family photos, I had no idea where my sister/maid of honor was. Geneene was always right there for me. I just looked at her and said "Geneene, could you please find my sister." She was on it.

2) She brought my husband and me our hourderves while taking photos prior to us entering the reception. My wedding party and we were starving and we did not tell her we were.

3) The day before my wedding the weather was horrendous! (Thunder and lightening, and rivers flooding the streets.) The news stations were calling it the biggest storm in San Diego in 4 years. At the reception hall was a beautiful outdoor deck right on the water. I had no idea whether to put my guests inside or out. My wedding was at 10am. Geneene was on the phone with the local weather bureau, and the employees at the reception hall finding out about the conditions of the outdoor deck, and forecast for the day, at 7am. I left the decision up to her.

Can you imagine me having to make these calls and try to be ready for my wedding on time? It would not have been a pretty picture. By the way, the day was sunshiny and beautiful, and I would probably credit that to Geneene also, if I could.I have an extremely long list of just these things, but it would take way too long to mention all of it. I can definitely say my husband and I feel we would not have had nearly as much fun at our wedding if not for Geneene's organization, professionalism, and consideration. Also, in looking at our pictures we noticed how much fun our parents were also having.

After the Honeymoon:

People called me to tell me about how they were talking about my wedding amongst one another, and they would say how the day just flowed so beautifully. I simply responded, "That had nothing to do with me, it was Geneene". They also talked about the cake so make sure to ask Geneene about Shirley. People asked what was the major thing that went wrong since there always seems to be one thing that goes wrong for every wedding. I simply reply," If anything went wrong, I was completely unaware of it."

Regrets:

I have one major regret...I wish I never bothered to stress about anything. If I knew in advance what a great job Geneene and all of her venders were going to do, I would have been incredibly calm about everything. Thank you Geneene for being the backbone.
